The event also included an enthusiastic surprise performance by the secret singing waiter Julian from Singers Secreto, who delighted the audience with his impressive vocals and energetic act, adding an unexpected and memorable highlight to the evening’s festivities.
The evening also recognised the hard work and dedication of West Sussex Partners in Care’s hospital-based trusted assessors, whose invaluable efforts had significantly reduced delayed or failed hospital discharges during their tenure from January 2023 to March 2024. Their commitment ensured that patients transitioned back to their care homes more swiftly and smoothly. West Sussex Partners in Care continue to advocate for the roles to be reinstated.
Attendees also bid a heartfelt farewell to two individuals who have significantly contributed to the social care community. Karen Stevens from Skills for Care is retiring after years of dedicated service, leaving behind a legacy of passion and commitment to improving care standards. They also said goodbye to Hayley Crosby, West Sussex Partners in Care Development Manager, who has played an invaluable role in the development and growth of our care association, and is stepping down to support her own family business.
