After the session participants should:
• Understand what is an “expected death”
• Understand the legal process and their responsibilities
• Understand the difference between verification and certification of death
• Demonstrate an understanding of expected and unexpected death
• Deaths that require a coroner investigation
• Understand and demonstrate the practical skills required to verify expected death
• Care after death

Open to Registered Nurses, working as District Nurses, Community Nurses, in Hospitals or in Care Homes

• A memorable structured approach for getting into and out of a conversation
• Ways to empower patients and carers who are worried or distressed
• Effective communication skills that are based on research and evidence.
