West Sussex County Council Learning & Development
At WSPiC one of our strategic aims is to improve care provider Workforce Development across the county. We champion those that take the time to improve themselves at our annual Care Accolades Awards, and work hand in hand with West Sussex County Council’s (WSCC) learning and development team to shape the training offer that they provide to external care providers of all shapes and sizes.
We meet with the WSCC learning and development team to shape the provision of the learning and development offer available to West Sussex care providers. If you feel that something is missing from the courses on offer, or if you think something could be done more effectively, please contact us as we are here to represent your views.
If you need help using the West Sussex Learning and Development Gateway, you may find the user guides on this page helpful.
The general user guide will help you with making a booking, managing your account and will show you how to access your training history.
For line managers we have a guide which amongst other things will give you a step by step guide to adding new users, requesting a place on a course for you or your team as well as authorising requests submitted by your team.
You can view the full user guides or go straight to the guide for the task you are trying to complete.

West Sussex County Council Education, Training Partnership Group Meeting
If you are involved in the workforce and development of staff within your organisation – then this is a meeting for you. The meeting brings a range of training providers together along with our care providers in West Sussex. The aim of the meeting is identify any training needs and hot topics that are becoming apparent and working together to find solutions. Due to limited resources it provides an opportunity for care providers to find ways to work together and coproduce training in order to fill those gaps. It also ensures that where an organisation is developing training that information is shared amongst the private, voluntary and independent sectors helping to prevent duplication. The next meeting takes place in Bognor Regis on Thursday 25th of July (2-4) please send an email to Karen Pirks, Partnership Officer, WSCC, if you would like an invitation to this useful meeting: email@example.com
